backroll on Ovechkin's gloves...

not sure if this is a repost or deserves it's own thread. but in photos you can see the backroll is missing from his glove.. they weren't mobile enough for him..? I guess it's not that interesting but I've never seen anyone do that.

the area is covered with those elbow pad extensions. His gloves are basically lacrosse gloves without the inner wrist.

I know a coulpe of players that do that exact thing, + a alot of players that cut a part of their cuff off for more mobility.
