^^correct. don't choose an insole based on the marked size, stand on the insoles and make sure the arch is supporting the correct spot under your foot. they will have to be trimmed anyways. everyone has a different arch length so the universal shoe scale doesn't necessarily

What's more, properly sized Superfeet arch support will sit further back toward your heel than the center of the actual arch. There is a reason for this - it's to stop the heel from rolling over during pronation.

Check to see if your heel is being cupped properly by the insole. I had to go one size down for proper fit.

Correct. When I got mine the first thing I thought was "the arch is too far back". Then I read up on them & realized it's supposed to be like that.

First time I skated with them my first thought was "wow!".

Fair enough, about them being slightly strange feeling; however, if the arch is in the wrong place, it's in the wrong place. They even say on their that if the heel is too tight, that you should go up one size.

Think about custom, or prescription orthotics. If you have ever had them made (I have both - superfeet custom cork in my ski boots, and prescription orthotics in my jogging shoes as I pronate), you know that the molding process ensures that the arch is exactly where the arch is on your foot. it is not intentionally moved back from where it occurs in the mold.

For that matter, where do you suppos that the arch winds up on the new Sidas/Graf custom formable insoles ?

If you have doubt about the best size, try both sizes, they are not that expensive. At least compared to those big buck pro level skates you just dropped a ton of dough on!

It's going to depend upon what is causing your arch pain.

1) if the arch in your skate is too shallow for your foot, the pain is likely caused by a lack of support. In this case, the arch is repetitively flattening putting excess stress on the musckes and tendon in the foot. Superfeet will help this condition.

2) if the pain is the result of you having arches that are shallower than than the arch in the skate (ie flat feet), then I am not sure they will help much.

thanks for the reply. I don't have flat feet so I will be looking into buying an insole this week when I go home. My next question is if it only happening in one foot should I put the other insole in the other skate or skate with one Superfeet insole and one Graf insole? Or just put both Superfeet in?
