Disinfecting Skates

I just bought a pair of used skates from Play it Again. What do you think I should use to disinfect them?

But I've since made my own version which is pretty much half isopropyl alcohol and half water. I just spray stuff and leave it somewhere cool and dry.

Nothing, the stuff PIAS seems pretty clean overall. I have a pair of RH skates from them and wore them barefoot right out of the store.

I've used a bleach/water solution and filled up the boots with it (take out the foot bed and do it seperate). Slosh it around for a minute, empty it out with clean water and let dry. I wouldn't do it to often, I did it when my kid had a nasty foot fungus. Best bet is to get them sanisported if you have one available.

thanks you are the second person who told me that. I haven't bought anything used from there since I was in the fourth grade so I wasn't sure if they did anything to clean their stuff. Ok well that means I'm not disinfecting them. Thanks for all the replies.

Probably not a bad idea. You have no idea how nasty the last guys feet were.

Put some disinfectant (i just use the one my wife has for the kitchen floor) and just dilute it with water. Slosh it around a little and then dry. Should work pretty well... and its got that rose scent!
