Cutting Down a SWD Momentum RM7 OPS

Recommended Posts

My SWD Momentum RM7's blade is broken so i decided to make a shaft out of it, i think i cut above the fuse point, but it still look too tight for a normal blade, i took a look on the other end and the walls seem to be too slim to last long. I Don't know which year it was made it has the Sher-Wood written with white letters on a black base and where the momentum and rm7 texts are it has a orange background. Anyone has any experiences or advices?

After cutting, you have to remove the leftover tenon that is still inside of the shaft. An easy way to do this is to heat the shaft and tap it down into the shaft and out the other end. I usually use a socket wrench extension that is just a bit smaller that the shaft dimensions and tap the tenon out the other end.

You don't normally have to do this when cutting other OPS do you? Is this a true one-piece stick or something?

RM7 is not a ture one piece stick

But if you do it correctly all you have to do is cut at the fuse point and chisel away the rest, right?
