White swedish undershirt, like turtleneck...

Recommended Posts

I just want to know where I can find a white undershirt, with something like a turtleneck at the neck. I think all the swedish players wear that type of shirt. Many north american who played in sweden during the lock-out also used these shirts (Souray and Chara). Lot of U20 at the WJC got one too. Do you know where I can found one of those ? Is it from Jofa ?

are you talking about this one? 4611270.jpg

Jofa/RBK 9K neck/troat protector..It's not a undershirt, but the most used neck protector in Sweden.. And it's a turtle-neck style neck protector.

Thanks for your reply guys, but I didn't found nothing like it on the Craft website. They made pretty cool stuff, but not what I'm looking for.

And for the neck protector, this look like it, but I don't think that Pro player in swedish league or NHLers who played in swedish league used a neck protector. Unless this piece of equipment is obligatory. The players I saw also don't have the big "RBK" logo.

Does the neck protector is a must in swedish hockey ?

I am not sure its a must but some years ago a swedish player was killed by a skate blade. It was a big deal at the time in all of scandinavia and we had to use a neck protector after that. That can be the why you have seen it. The storie died down and not many on senior level uses it here in Denmark now.

Maynard,

If you don't have any luck finding it online in the next few months, let me know and I'll pick one up for you when I go to Sweden in April. I have friends in Montreal, so we can meet up there when I come up.

Thank you Deerok, but I'm not sure yet which type I want. I don't want a neck protector, but more like an mock shirt or turtleneck undershirt. If what I'm looking for is only available in Sweden, I'll let you know before you leave. When do you leave to Sweden ?

Thank you again !

This is the first year they hve that big RBK logo in front, previous years they've had a small jofa logo on the side of the pad.. I have a jofa branded myself. and it doesn't feel like a neck protector, it feels just like a turtle-neck shirt..

anywere in Canada?????

Your neck protector must have BNQ cert Ryan-may not matter in most private beer leagues but if its HC's insurance coverage it could become an issue. Depending on your age the team's trainer signing the game sheet is responsible for checking.

There are a few 1st layer shirts with neckguards carrying BNQ cert in Ontario stores.
