any fans of the R2 out there?

I recently purchased an R2 with matching tapered blade (Tkachuk). It was really hard for me to find what with the "R2XN10" out. Personally I always liked the feel of the Response (thus the R2 shaft) over the XN10. Sure, the XN10 is light as a feather, but it is a little too hard around the edges for my taste. I was wondering if any ppl out there had used both sticks and in their opinion which one is better. I prefer the comfortable rounded feel of the response and r2, but i have only seen about 2 other people using R2 shafts. Anybody?

I liked the feel of the Response more than any of the other first generation OPS. I used one of the shafts with tapered wood blades for quite a while and it was probably the best combo I've ever used. I just ran out of good RH pro wood t-flex blades.

I've been quite happy with the R2. I usually switch off and on between that and my Synth grip. I am actually an oddity around these parts though because I didn't care for the Flyweight. Not sure why, I really liked my M1 but the Flyweight just didn't work for me. On a side note, I was one of maybe 2 guys who liked the original red/gray triflex.

Happier with my L-2 and the extra blade...feels like a OPS to me.

Plus the red matches the lamp when I light it up...
