Dying White G-70's

I was interested in buying these but only wanted the back white panel to actually be white. I do not know what material it is made of, but I was wondering if there would be any decent way to black out the forward panel?

It's leather and I dunno what you could dye it with.

I have tried to dye skates before with leather dye and it will look great until you hit the ice. After a few skates you will probably wish you had never done it unless you want to touch them up after every skate.

Whatever you do, DO NOT get the silver G-70's. Those are godawful.
