Best Glove of these 3?

Recommended Posts

Well, my old school Hespeler gloves have finally gotten to the point that is time for me to get a replacement set. They have a couple of games left in them I think, but I want to get my new gloves to a couple of stick times and warm ups before games so that they are broken in and as comfortable as possible when they get pressed into action.

That being said, give me an idea on these 3 gloves.

RBK Pro Stock Return - http://hockeymonkey.com/rbk-pro-stock-hock...-tampa-bay.html

Easton S9 - http://hockeymonkey.com/easton-hgstealths913in.html

Eagle X5 - http://www.hockeygiant.com/eagx5glvsr.html

The last two are ones that are available through my LHS so the links that I am giving are just for reference. The Pro Stock RBK's obviously I'd have to get from hockeymonkey.

I'm really concerned most with performance and protection from these gloves. I don't need anything super high end (hence the lack of the XXX or S11) but would like an upper level glove.

Thanks in advance.

Bravada...all gloves are different. Your best bet is to just try a bunch on, and buy the ones that you like the fit of the best. People are going to give you opinions based on their personal preference, but you are spending your money, so it's your preference that matters.

That is what I was afraid of. I was kind of hoping they wouldn't be like skates, but I guess not. I really want to pick up those Pro Stock RBK's figuring they are going to be light and performance oriented, so I guess I'll just have to after the Eagle's or Eastons since I have the opportunity to try them on.

Thanks guys.

Pro stocks are geared more towards protection with extra inserts and such because of the more intense physical nature of pro hockey and the hacking.

The Eagle X-5's seem to have some durability issues with the palms. Out of the 3 you listed I would go for the RBK's, but I don't have to wear them- see what fits you best at your LHS.
