735'ish fit?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, could someone tell me there is a skate available that has a similar heel, forefoot, and arch fit to a 735, but has a bit more volume to it?

Thanks.

Not sure but, the 735 takes the 703's heel and 705's volume and forefoot to create the 735. The G70 may be similar because it has a narrower heel, but has more depth like you stated. Its a maybe someone can correct me :)

Bnads,

The G70 is very similiar in depth to the 8090's I got from you. Toebox not as wide as the 8090, but can be easily punched out. Heel area seemed tighter on the 8090 than the G70, but I found this to be a non-issue for me.

That is not great news for me, cbart - the only thing I could actually complain about with the 8090's was the volume.

Tried on the G70's last night to double check...They are a TAD deeper than the 8090's...Good news is that if you want to go the Graf route, the 709 or G9 has been found by Law Goalie to be deeper than the G70...Wish I would have known that before I bought mine!

Cool - thanks for the heads up - I think I'll try to track donw a pair of 709's. My 7k's seemed to be ok, but the more I skate in them, the more sloppy they are getting - I tried wearing thicker socks, but them it pretty much cuts off the cirulation to my toes...I HATE SKATES!

A Flexlite might work - a little more volume than the 8090/G70, combined with a slightly wider forefoot and slightly narrower heel at D-width. Not as deep as a 709, but probably a way better fit in the heel.

The one thing you can't do, however, with a Flexlite is stretch the toebox. Unless you're willing to basically melt a non-thermoplastic with a heatgun, bubble out the toe, and then wait for the outsole to separate so you can epoxy the whole skate back together, I wouldn't advise it.

Well, I am going to put a pair of Superfeet greys in them, then have them baked. I am also going to pick up a pair of Oxies an dtry them instead of my UA socks, which are pretty thin and slippery - maybe those measure will correct this nuisance.

No thanks - tried the 95AG's last year and hated them - I am not big ont he supplefit thing. I am going to see what I can do with these, because the fit is great except for the heel - if I can find a way to salvage these skates I will.

french Connection- Your wrong the G70 has a narrow heel but the 709 has a wider heel

I don't agree, the 703 and 735 have very narrow heels, and if he liked that fit in his heel, he won't be getting it in a 705 or a G70 of equal widths.
