Firefox problem

Recommended Posts

Firefox keeps losing all of my bookmarks and giving me all sorts of warnings about encrypted pages and the welcome to firefox start page instead of my default home page. It also has this weird white line at the top that it usually shows when it blocks a pop up or needs to download a plug in. Is some type of virus or should I uninstall/reinstall or settings or what?

For me it will occasionally just stop loading in pages. The progress bar at the bottom will simply flash, then disapepar, the page resets and I'll have to close and re-open it. Like GXC said, it's probably just typical bugs for Firefox.

I've never had any of those problems with FF. My only issues are the pages that are written for IE and don't display properly in FF.

Check the FF support info for recovering Bookmark backup files...If they (the backups)are still intact, just rename the backups and drop them into the correct location. This process is detailed on many sites...

This happened to me about 2 weeks ago on my laptop, but my PC was fine.

I wasn't abole to recove all mind because FF writes over the older files eventually...

Having issues with my FF. I can't open more than one page. Can't do 'Open in new Window'. I can open Tabs just fine. And when I Close FF, the process keeps running in my task manager, and I can't re-open it until I go and manually Close the process from the task manager. After I do, and open a new window, the Restore Previous Session/Start New Session window pops up every time. I've tried restarting, re-installing FF, nothing seems to fix it. I am at a loss.

I think you have a corrupt file. I had that issue too, all you have to do is go in and rename one of the program files and add .corrupt after it. I forget how to get there and which to do, but head over to the FF support boards and they can point you in the right direction.
