anyone ever order through this site? I just tried to order a helmet here and for some reason during the process the helmet was deleted from the cart and the order was pushed through, hence no product but a shipping charge to my credit card.

hockeyworld is usually very good. customer service is excellent also. sounds like your problem was just a computer thing. call them about it.

Your cookies have expired. That's what happened.

I've had a few customer service issues with them, like they're tried to charge me extra shipping for non-oversized or non-overweight items. I opposed that since the extra charge wouldn't show in the total. Now they're OK. Their customer service might be a little slow sometimes.

Have ordered from HockeyGiant and inquired about ordering from others(HockeyMonkey, etc.) but none came close to HockeyWorld. Excellent customer service, good products and for me, cheapest shipping to Canada.

I would highly recommend them as a online store.

I don't think they actually charged your card. They always seem to charge you later after they figure nothing on order is OOS (out of stock).

Same thing happened to me. I just called them up and the CS guy put through the order I originally wanted. I was never charged for the first "just shipping" order. I got my package quickly and without problem.

IMO, the best place to order online is over at www.icewarehouse.com or www.inlinewarehouse.com (same place, obviously different gear for ice and roller)...

while hockey monkey and hockey giant have great selections, the biggest problem with them is their shipping charges.....$4.99 handling fee, then the shipping charge which is most likely $10 for regular ground....and regular UPS is NEVER $10 ground....so the best time to order from them is when they have things at an unbeatable price (even with shipping included)

i'm waiting any day now for them to make a special announcement on their homepage that states that a roll of tape will be considered over-sized :P......

in all seriousness.....while ice/inline warehouse may not have the overall selection, if you can find what you need there, purchase it there because in the long run, even if they want $5 more on the price of the item, when shipping is included you won't get ripped...

i've bought a couple of things from hockeyworld and never had a problem....i just think the layout of the site causes problems more than anything...

They do have a price match to save you the extra cost.

IW is head and shoulders above the rest. Epuck was up there, but with the HG merge says otherwise.

HW called me first thing this morning and the guy was great, took care of everything and just replaced the order.

IW is definately the best place I've ever ordered from but I always end of having to order things from different places and the shipping charges add up. I ordered montreal pro stock gloves from HM but they don't carry the color selection for helmet thats IW has, then I found the better deal on HW for the royal 4000 (this is my new thing lately, buying new gear in one swoop to match NHL teams)

now I just need to find that damn shell!
