  1. Dark, I am on the far left and GBX is in the middle... the GLOVES ARE SWEET
  2. yeah, no slap shots. Since we got off the waitlist we only had the choice of that division so I felt bad because they were not skilled players. They were just ignorant but I clearly was upset and yelled very often. Didnt change though!
  3. I hate to say this but I would have to disagree... fun, yes but other than that it was a little frustrating out there. What I would do for 2011 1.) for 500 bucks a team I'd expect the tournament to hire more ATV's with those super fast street cleaner brushes to clean the ice after every game. I watched one clean one of the rinks at the end of the day in 5 minutes tops, so if you have 4 of those machines you could have cleared 7 rinks between the days. If not that, at least wider shovels that are meant for pushing snow. The ice was terrible and moving the puck just became a pain. Cracks are inevitable, but the snow was just avoidable. 2.) this was by far my biggest pet peave... the "volunteers". My team was selected off the waitlist for the Just for Fun Division and as a captain I received the email highlighting the rules of the tourney. The biggest one was GOALTENDING. I can see someone dropping and making a save but it clearly stated that you could not remain stationary in front of the net. Being in the last division (as we're in our 20's and it was that or the open) we faced some weak teams and one unreal team. We went 2-2 losing the last game 3-2 because they kept dropping people into the crease (2 people) and just standing in front of the goal box. You couldn't score in that foot by six inch slot with traffic and someone just standing there. I don't know how many times I asked our 20 something year old girl volunteer to pay attention... it def took away from the tournament. I wanted that damn Lablatt trophy!
  4. New England Pond Hockey Classic - Meredith NH
  5. Where'd you pick up these beauties. PH has an all black pair with bauer in red lettering that's been tempting me. custom ordered through a member here a MSH, wait time was probably 8 weeks or so, well worth the wait though
  6. thought the same myself rusty, seems like companies never release the gooooood stuff (ie easton, pro grade gloves are amazing while their regular stock is just UGLY)
  7. Apparently another pair just went up for sale on ebay: Always pisses me of when someone tries to rip people of with shipping ($30 bucks in the states is a joke with the flat rate boxes) don't want to call anyone out. but I'm pretty sure that auction belongs to a member here and is responsible for the flood of Bauer 4rolls you guys are about to see in the show it off section. and yah, can't wait to check mine out, damn ups guy needs to get to my house now! there is NOTHING wrong with someone buying to resell, if there is a market out there I can't blame someone for taking advantage of it. If I put a true effort into it I could make ebay a full time job.
  8. I'm pretty shitty.... ddbowdoin in case anyone wants to invite me to a game
  9. Warriors glove customizer has a 'brass' color that looks VERY much like the vintage gloves worn by the Canadiens I have found that the warrior customization process is VERY expensive! am I the only one?
  10. I played competively through high school and college club and then just stopped playing, mainly because mens leagues around here are pretty boring for a goalie. BUT! The passion has been rekindled and I am back into it. My gear at the time was pretty high end but is now outdated. Forget the exact model of my gloves but they were top of the line Vaughns at the time. Leg pads are Bauer 6's
  11. why can't women just get along? if I have problems with a friend I call him out, we may throw some blows, then get up (bloody) and have a few beers and laugh about it. I have to become involved in the drama through association, me + gf + her bitchy friends = disaster ugh
  12. Love it! Our team has the Habs "C" jerseys in blue as our main ones. Everything stitched on them and everything. I was considering the barbershop jerseys but I'm still not sure if it counts as a dark or light jersey! I am a little dissapointed with the jersey... it's nice but the quality seems kind of shitty. It's a premier jersey and I own many other ones but this one feels thin. I want to formally thank the children of the Phillipines for making a shitty product. Well, it looks good though. I like how the new Boston Winter classic jerseys (the premier) is made in Canada! Comon guys... lets bring the operation home
  13. new christmas presents for myself...
  14. It's in Salem. WTF!!! I called them up like once a month for 5 months and they always told me "we pretty much only buy strict black, navy, red gloves because we know they'll sell. We'll never get those kinds of colors here" I want those!
