If it makes you feel any better, I watched a buddy of mine flex a Synergy in a pro shop and it snapped and he had to pay for it. So atleast your not that stupid.

I'm pretty sure you ae not the biggest tool here; maybe just the biggest one to admit it. I'm sure we all are enjoying the laugh at your expense but you are not alone. Back in high school, before I had a brain, I was trying to be cool with my team mates in the LHS stick room and low and behold, i grab a stick and start flexing it and SNAP. Yeah, I was looking for a rock I could hide under. My friends mom ended up having to pay for the stick because my parents weren't there.

With that said, welcome to the 'I forgot my brain on my pillow when I woke up this morning' club.

yeah but you could have thrown some tape on it and put some puck marks on it and chip the paint in and send it in for a warranty replacement.

Or don't complain about high stick prices, your choice.

Done it twice. First time was my Vapor XX (first one piece) in my living room. So choked.

Second time was at work with my J Staal Team Canada One90 - showing a student how stiff it was and it just exploded.

I cringe watching guys rifting on OPS at stores. Seen grown men leaning on JR (50 flex) sticks-that crap has to take some of the 'life' out of the stick for the poor kid that buys it. If I am at a busier store around here on Saturday/Sunday someone is flexing sticks every 5 minutes-hard to not say anything. Sticks may not break (wish they would) but their not made to be held in a flexed position-why don't these stores at least have signs up?

You guys aren't "tools", your breaking your own sticks.

That should clarify why the story ended there. By the way, This was when aluminum was gaining popularity and before composites.

The Hockey shop I worked in a while back got in a bunch of Salming sticks and I was given an Evolution TX to test out in practice. Stick felt ok, not going to shock the world or anything. Anyway I was infront of the net doing as you do when the next minute WHAM!! a shot from the point connects with and cracks the stick round about the kick point.

With the stick useless but still in one peice I head back to the bench to get a replacement. Im about 10ft from the boards when I decided to flex the stick and just snap it. The stick breaks as I intended but the blade bends lodges under my skates casuing me to land ontop of the stick and face plant head first into the boards

Last time I do that, and that was me finished with the Salming sticks lol

From reading the posts on this board year round - you have a lot of extremely well-qualified competition for this award. Frankly, I don't even think you're a finalist. A couple of threads up is a post about a guy who ended up with a shattered testicle as a result of not wearing a cup. What's a broken stick compared to a broken ball?

two years ago before a state tournamnet game i had a new stick (i believe it was a stealth), my friend asked to see it so i said why noy. I look over to see him flexing it and all of a sudden i hear a CRACK. I look again to see him holding my new stick in 2 pieces. i had to use someones garbage backup for the game and of course we lost.
