Vapor XXXX fit query (Pic included)

Recommended Posts

I have the XXXXs and the pencil test comes out to about the same result. I had an issue with knee bend myself.

My solution, that really worked.

Skip the top eyelet. And lace the top three(well two) outside-in. You gain just a little bit of depth. It's been working beautifully.

Do you really need the stiffness in the skate or just wanted the Vapor XXXXs? I know your a high end gear sorta dude from reading your past posts. Describe the perfect fitting skate for you.

I needed some new skates and the Vapors just got to the shop. Only skate that fit. I would have loved to get the XXVs.

My foot is upside down triangle shaped. Basically, I need something vaporish but with more depth. Finding something with the right depth is tough, especially being in FL. No graf, Easton is here but at a shop I avoid. Flexlites got in late. I'd rather have a skate that doesn't quite fit right in the forefoot but has the depth... You can adjust laces, not boot depth.

I just came from Graf 705 to the XXV and the higher boot has really helped this roller guy with my stride. I would describe my experience as crisper. I still have some bad habits and these skates are by no means going to solve them all but I most def feel like I took a step forward in the skating dept, maybe a placebo affect dunno

I too have the same pencil test results. My conclusiong is it comes from adding the superfeet, stock soles did not seem to cause this problem

TBL thank you so much, I had already skipped the top but never thought to lace the others outside-in, it did just enough...again thanks so much.

Never thought about it either. I've always laced outside-in, on the bottom then inside-out on the top. Finally, something clicked and I tried it... It was just enough to make a difference! Glad to help, sometimes it's amazing how simple a solution can be.

Yeah really, it felt like a different skate, I did one the normal inside-out way and one outside-in and it felt like the skate seemed to hold my foot alot better in your method.
