I have the thorax advantage, which is new if I'm not mistaken. It's about as protective as a roller hockey girdle will get and fairly mobile.

Slightly off topic but I am still rocking my old Bilt Rite Wrap girdle from years ago! The Mission Wrap catalog I saw of this year does not have any tailbone protection. This was the best and most important part for me on my Bilt Rite. And yes, for those who are wondering, I do fall on my ass from time to time. Any form of tailbone protection is a good thing for me.

I just bought the mission thorax and I love them. I had a injury to my leg that made me buy them and you don't even know u have them on.

There is definitely a tail bone pad on the wrap girdle. The image was photoshop'd and that is why it looks as if there is no tailbone pad.

Gotcha. No wonder. I'm relieved that it has a tailbone protector! Thanks for the clarification, Justin.

Jsut wondering how the thorax fits? odes it feels bulky or is it barely noticiable? I'm looking ot get a new girdle, but i want whatever feels the least intrusive/bulky. The thorax looks good, but i havent heard much about it. thanks

The Thorax isn't bulky at all. Just enough padding in the places where you need it. I switched to it from a more burly girdle, and was initially concerned at how light and non-intrusive it was. Now, I'm totally sold on it and absolutely love it.

Cool, I think im gonna Get the Thorax Advantage. Do many people on here wear a Girdle for Inline play? I know most do for Ice, but i dont know many that do for inline. Tahts why i was wanting the lightest girdle out there. thanks.

Yeah, an inline puck can do some damage if it hits the wrong spot. I blocked a shot last week and now have a nasty bruise on my thigh that is the size of my outstretched hand. There's no reason not to wear a light girdle like the Thorax/Thorax Advantage - it doesn't affect your mobility at all and it will provide at least a bit of protection.

Agreed. As well as the older you get the more you realize what you do, dont do, has an impact on tomorrow.

I too am looking to get a new girdle... everyone seems to agree that the Mission Thorax is the least bulky and most maneuverable. Does anyone recommend another girdle (tour, rbk, etc.)...
