AndTheySayChiCity 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2008 so i've played roller hockey once in my life.. a while ago.. for a summer, i played random pickup games.it wasn't really competetive, so i just wore my roller pants (with bball shorts under) and shinnies and a jersey with elbow pads. but i was just wondering, if i was to play in a competetive league this coming summer, could i wear old ice hockey pants (i have some from wayyy back in the day that still fit but they're really snug and fit smaller than ice hockey pants i have now) under my roller pants? or should i just buy a girdle? daniel91 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2008 you can still wear your hockey pants but if your roller hockey pants are tight...its going to be an uncomfortable game. I suggest getting a mission girdle from a couple years ago like 06' models because they are getting cheep.

top-shelf 1 Report post Posted March 29, 2008 I have a friend who wears a snug-fitting ice girdle for roller. He's one of the fastest skaters in the league and it doesn't seem to inhibit him at all. Of course, whether or not you even wear a girdle for roller is according to your preference.

big_bt 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2008 yeah i find the ice hockey pants for roller are just kinda over kill. just pick up a cheap girdle (last years model) at like hockeymonkey or something. and wearing them underneath you're roller pants = sweaty death
strosedefence34 175 Report post Posted March 30, 2008 to be honest I don't think you really need one. I was playing varsity roller hockey at my high school when I was in the 8th grade and didn't wear one. As you can imagine I was one of the littlest kids in the league playing with kids that were 17 yeah I have been hit with a roller hockey puck its stings and leaves a nice mark, but its nothing to get crazy over. The fact that you can't slide either doesn't mean you can block too many shots either.
