Thermablade installation

Recommended Posts

I'm installing thermablades for the first time and I want to make sure i do it right. I tried calling their 800 number but they're closed. (hate being on the west coast :P)

In the booklet that comes with the blades, the installation intructions say to "install in the same manner as any other blade" which is self explanatory, and "be sure to remove the two strips of insulation tape from each blade. Is this refering to the white liner on the heel of the holder above the battery? That seems like its the only removable thing on the whole thing

im not sure what they are talking about, but leave the foam covering the battery on. its still on from when my demo pair was installed so id just leave it. best of luck

1) place in trash

2) ...

3) profit

Thanks for the completely useless post

I started to put them on and it feels like the battery is keeping the holder from lying flush with the bottom of the skate. Anyone else get that?

i didnt install mine, but i can say that mine sit nice and flush, part of it might be due to the hole in the heel of easton skates. but im not entirely sure.

It has to be tight, that is what keeping the battery and blade connected. The foam will protect the battery. If you put them on grafs with the indinted outsole you will have to fashion something to fill the hole in the outsole.
