are these lighter than the 5K? (and generally the 7k, 8k, 9k)

i remember seeing some 5K skates (as well as gloves and pads) during a random trip to MC Sports.. and i picked them up off the shelf and they were SUPER heavy.

not sure i like the look of these particular 8K. they look kinda tacky to me, but hey, if you like them, wear it :)

They are lighter than the 5k. I had the 5k's prior to picking up a pair of 8ks on clearance. I like them a lot, just the pair I have is probably 1/2 size too big.

Yeah, they're pretty light and they're awesome skates -- if they were deeper I'd still be in them
