So i decided this summer i really want to start working has im already a gr 10 student who is going to be gr 11 and would like to make my own $$ and, save/spend it on what ever i want. I want to share what i have learned here to the only lhs here in my town.. I'm just wondering about resume and questions they would ask.. and i get scared very easily when i try to step up and talking to them about jobs. :( Any advice?

Just relax. I know that's easier said than done but it's the best thing you can do. The worst thing that can happen is that you walk out of there the same way you walked in.

On the upside you can have a job.

paper clip in your pocket for nervousness.

I've been lucky, I've never not gotten a job offer after interviewing. My biggest thing is the ability to show I know what I'm doing, or can learn what I don't know very quickly, and quickly finding something in common and making small talk with the interviewer.

So, in your situation, maybe you'll bring up one of the playoff games to start conversation, and chat up whomever for a bit before broaching the subject about jobs. Also, when actually talking about a job, it might be wise to stress the importance of finding the right fit in a skate... like, "I've helped friends pick skates before, and I stressed the importance of buying one that fits properly."

Just go in with the mindset that you'll get the job, make small talk, ask about openings, stress that you know about equipment, stress that you want to learn whatever it takes to do the job right and you'll find that the itnerview takes care of itself. For a starter job at an LHS, I doubt they'll go too deep about things. I'm sure they've hired kids starting out more than once.

Ask for an application. They probably wont ask alot of questions other than "when can you work? We need people for X shift blah blah blah" if they have an opening.

As long as your grammar is better in person than it is online... you will do fine. :D
