My blade is worn out

Recommended Posts

..For my white reebok5k pumps.

I'm considering t-blades or just buying the CCM Proformance runner, as i've noticed that the 5k holder is a E-Pro and i'm guessing that it would fit the Proformance runner. (Ones on the 9k)

Any advice?

T'blades are good of you don't get good sharpening anywhere around you. I love the t'blades, takes a little while to get used to but stays sharp and has great glide.

Actually they really don't stay all that sharp for most people. Just about everyone I know who uses them, goes with the deepest hollow they can get, because it "lasts longer". Mine were shot after three games at best.

Depends how sharp you like them I guess. I always get the 13's (7/16ths i think).

if your comfortable in the blades you had just get replacement ones because you may spent alot of money on geting t-blades and fitted then deciding you dont like them and having to pay to change them back to eblades

but if your wanting to try something new on them i would reccomend lightspeeds but i wouldnt risk it

whatever you do, dont buy the proformance steel. i have them on a pair of vectors and im getting them switched i absolutely hate the scalloped steel on the proformance blades.

Giving some reasons why you didn't like the steel might help him make his decision. While it's good to tell someone if you liked or disliked a product, telling them why you feel that way is even more beneficial. Things that you like might be things that he doesn't like or vice versa.

T blades are definitely strange. The do have much better glide and are lighter. One really strange thing is that they sound really weird due to the different type of steel. There is a solid crunch.

first of all they never stay tight i'm constantly having to tighten them, sometimes even in games and i cant stand the scalloped steel it just feels weak like its going to break. also solid steel is much more durable so you will ahve to replace it less due to breakage.

I listened to a lot of guys, and swapped out the scalloped steel on my 9K's with solid. The solid warped on me, while after switching back to the scalloped - I had no isses for 4+ months. I had loosening issues with either runner.... just taught me a lesson to keep tools handy in my equipment bag. Now, my hockey bag is prepared for the apocalypse.
