Bauer Vapor XXX Skates 8D

Recommended Posts

Hy Guys! I'm looking for a new pair of Bauer Vapor XXX Skates in size 8D!

Mine are getting pretty worn out, and those are just the best skates I ever had.

They're just perfect to me. Anywone knows where I could get a pair?

Thanks in advance.....

Now don't get me wrong I am not trying to discourage you from finding a good pair of 30's....but you can't fall in love with a pair of skates for too long, you have to keep climbing the "latter of technology". I mean lets say Tiger Woods when he was 12 years old fell in love with Wooden drivers, and he kept buying the same type - sooner or later he would fall behind. Let me be honest, I wore a pair of Bauer 6500's for 5 years and loved them, I just bought a pair of Vapor XXV's and have been blowing by defence like there is no tommorow - Like Kramer of Seinfield says, "...they just give me a Whooosh..."

That being said, go ahead and get the 30's if somebody directs you too a pair, but just keep what I said in the back of your mind, till later.

ebay usually has some new pairs for ~280 bucks every now and then. Just never in my size. I have seen 8ds pop up frequently...unfortunately my foot falls in the 9-10d range, AKA the same range as mostly everyone else.

@swissrocket: See you next monday in worb with my "labeda fuzions" soso fast I am :P :P

@youtuuk:

I always had that approach of "you have to keep climbing the "latter of technology" " and I agree with that. But I just think that the xxx is just perfect for me. Being honest the xxx is technicaly speeking at a very high level! I know a lot of pro-players over here in switzerland that still want that skate. Anyway I've still got time untill the winter comes so, plenty of time to decide.

I'm not willing to use worn skates by someone else, especially when they used it for 2 years, it's just not the same, but you know that :) :)

Just curious how long did your first pair of 30's last you?

Your right 30's are still good skates and it prolly would not hurt you to get "one more pair" maybe wear them for a couple years - before moving on.

First it will give you a "psychological" edge because you know they fit good and you will be confident from the "get go"...One more warning, not sure if your feet are still growing or not, but feet do change shape even when your adult - and the old broken in 30's that fit good the last 3 years, maybe will not fit as "perfect" the 2nd time around when new. Just food for thought, like MSH always says, "try them on"....

I've used them know for 3 seasons and they're are actually i quite good condition. Just not so stiff as 2 years ago, but if I keep them for next winter I will be needing to change the blade( you can imagine). No my feet are not growing anymore (thank god for that). Man I love those xxx :wub::wub:
