masterpeice_patrice 4 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 vapor xxxx one 95 graf g5 ccm u+since im comming off grafs the g5 felt the most famlair to my feet the vapors and one 95s felt very high cut and weird i cant see myself skating in them and the u+ were from another world. i fell in love with the u+ and i asked if ccm makes custom on those skates but they recently enterd the market so its not possible as of now. thats what i was told. the grafs felt great and im more familair with skating on grafs so break in time wouldnt be long in those skates. all the other ones would take a longer then usual for me and i dont know if i want to risk it? i need new skates because my 735s are not performing to my standards anymore they dont stay stiff after a couple shifts and i have to tie them extra tight wich is uncomfy and im getting blisters around my lower ankle area. i also get foot pain. i dont know if i should stick to graf or go a diffrent route but damn all those skates have diffrent feel to them and it kind of worries me. k.nick91 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2008 if grafs feel the most familiar and comfortable they probably fit your foot best. your feet wont lie. go with what feels good on them its your best shot. since your are coming off using a pair of graf skates it should be a good fit for you with little adjustment time. so id say go for those its not worth it to risk $600 just because you like the look or features of different skates. once your skating and your feet feel good in a good fitting skate you will be glad you picked what fit. duch 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2008 Why do you need to go custom with the U+? Are your 735's custom made? My advice is to stick to what your used to as well. Changing over to another skate model takes time. The adjustment period can be a long one or very short but there is still an adjustment period, Then you may still need to contour or get a heel lift which are just more costs on top of the purchase price. And on top of everything else I don't think your going to get as good a quality and durable skate as Grafs have to offer, their one of the best on the market. IMHO.
