Aussie Joe 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2008 I've just started my IIHF level 1 here in Aus. Im told its internationally accredited and is based on the HockeyCanada model. Have any of you compelted this? If so what do you think of the material? Especially that the focus is on a semi democratic coaching style?
Zamboni 6 Report post Posted May 2, 2008 Since I don't have any answers I'll ask a question-what does it equate to in HC, Developmental 1?
Simonp27 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2008 http://www.iihf.com/iihf-home/sport/coaches/level-i.htmlI did it here in England last year, pretty simple stuff really. Level 2 looks a bit more interesting. They use a few HC videos to help with some of the skills demos. Apart from that I am not sure where it fits with HC.
Law Goalie 147 Report post Posted May 3, 2008 I'll ask around and get back to you... I can say that the top hockey guy in Canada's NCI is a complete tool - and a former goalie, no less. How we got a ham'n'egger in that job is beyond me...
