Skate pusher?

Give the AGX's a shot, I had Mission S400's and they were too narrow. I now have a pair of AGX's and they fit really well, I don't have any discomfort at all. One thing though is the AGX boot is more for someone who has a wider forefoot and a regular ankle. If you have wider/bigger ankles the AGX may not work out well. It's worth taking the time to try on as many skates as possible.

that is where EE width skates come into play. seriously guys D and EE have the same toe box and are generally not wider in the ball. the added width is in the heel and ankle.

mission rep told me its about 1 size down from shoe size, but as has been mentioned in other threads, shoe size is not the best way to gauge skate size. hopefully you will be successful selling them, maybe a lhs will let you return?

going one down from shoe size is a starting point. from there another good thing to do is to pull out the footbed and stand on them. when skates are new there are usually alot of different foams that force your foot forward and jam your toes up against the toe box. it is the understanding that these materials will give with break in and your toes will pull off the cap. looking at your foot while standing on the footbed will give you a good idea how the skate will fit when broken in. too many times i see guys get a skate that is .5 to 1 size too big because, they do not believe that they have been sized them properly. time in the boot tells the story.

Update for anyone interested: I've skated on these about 2-3 times per week, about an hour each time, for almost two months and no problems yet.

Thanks again, all of you, for your feedback and advice. Great group here.

I'm thinking those puppies are just fine. Like previously stated skates can handle a lot of abuse so I don't believe they did any permanent damage to them when you baked them and walked in them at the hockey shop. Mission makes a decent quality product so I think they'll hold up admirably. You'll also know for next time, the correct procedure for baking and letting the skates cool. You've had a learning experience.
