Jarick 5 Report post Posted June 3, 2008 All I know is I don't keep it in my pocket for extended periods of time. I have enough worries about my boys hopping the boards with the crappy Shock Doctor cup.
dix0r 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2008 a bit off topic perhaps, but i've been cell phone-less for about 10 days now (need to go find a new charger) and feel very liberated. i was at the point that i cringed every time i heard my phone ring, cause it was usually going to be something stressful. there's only been about 2 or 3 times in that time when i felt i "needed" to use it and wished i could. on the other hand, i think there have also been a couple times people have needed to get ahold of me and have been unable to. i'm seriously considering canceling my service, partly cause of the above, part because AT&T signal is bad in my area (and particularly horrible in my new apartment). not potentially getting brain cancer would be an added bonus too, i suppose :]unfortunately with my job, i don't think i could get away with not having a mobile phone. All I know is I don't keep it in my pocket for extended periods of time. I have enough worries about my boys hopping the boards with the crappy Shock Doctor cup.sometimes when i'm driving, i'll set the phone between my legs for a second, and think to myself "don't keep it by your nuts!" it's funny how that triggers a mental warning, but using it up to your head for an hour or more every day doesn't. regardless, i think the law of needing to use an ear piece while driving is taking effect here pretty soon... DarkStar50 679 Report post Posted June 3, 2008 We have the law about driving and using the cellphone here in NJ for a few months. That law hasn't stopped anybody. People still talk on the cell phone while they drive through the red light that was orange when they started to speed up.This head set idea is interesting although at my age, my brain is fried from the 70s already! Add in NJ as Cancer Alley, sharpening skates for almost 30 years and it's a wonder I made it to work after staying up until 1 AM watching the game drinking beer. Well, I did take a nap between 8 AM and 11 AM this morning before work. Sad, just sad.........
