Will an L-2 blade fit any tapered shaft ?? It seems the hosel may be a little short ?? ALso will other tapered blades fit an L-2 shaft ?

They should. Occasionally there is a bit of problems from brand to brand, but its generally nothing more than a little tape on the tennon can't fix.
