Where to cut SL OPS to make a tapered two-piece

Searched and couldn't find anything.

Where exactly would I cut an SL OPS to be able to put tapered blades into it?

I took my broken SL to my LHS to get it cut down professionally and they cut it just below the "E" logo in the blue/red and then put my blade in the other end after flipping the shaft. There was no hole just below the "E" so probably just above the E would do it.

heat it up a little bit and the fuse point will show up as a line.
