Custom SE16's

Recommended Posts

Just got my new SE16's in, they fit pretty well but are a little tight. I want to bake them. I baked my 1500's and apart from a pretty brutal mishap with the tongue (see image 2) they were awesome!! I just want to ask you guys what tempreture I should bake my SE16s at and for how long, even if i 'half bake' them. Also to avoid my shrinking burnt tongue episode, any of you guys know if I can bake the white felt tongues - Pic 1. Please help.

PIC 1 - New skates, Can I bake the white tongue?

Are you thinking of baking them in your own oven? That's definitely not recommended and voids the warranty on the skates. Also, chances are you will damage them.

There's a skate oven done the rink so I will more than likely use that. I did my 1500's in my kitchen oven and apart from the tongue issue they turned out great. Does anyone know what the Easton recomended time & oven temp is?

Can't you get it done at a LHS just to be on the safe side?

Oh and by the way, those skates are awesome! Nice one.

Thanks - Im pretty happy with them! 4 minutes at 200 in a skate oven! Great I will get that going this week! Thanks for your help guys. The reason I ask is because im in the UK and skate ovens in rinks are 1. Hard to come by and 2. Probably used to warm up food rather than skates!

Aww, come on. Life in the U.K. isn't that bad. Maybe not the greatest place for ice hockey enthusiasts but not a bad standard of living overall. Great place to live if you love football however.

Standard of living is OK. Cost of living is way beyond ridiculous. Recession is coming!

Hockey in the UK is nothing special at all, I think any UK member on here would love for it to be 4 times as popular as it is right now.

My biggest and most important aim in life right now is to get the hell out of here. My parents have been telling me thats what I should do since I can remember and there biggest regret is staying in the UK.

Sorry for going all off topic guys
