5HoleMadman 6 Report post Posted July 9, 2008 Hey guys,I wasn't sure where to put this so I thought I'd try here first and hope no one yells. I've been playing Roller for about 17 years and played in a couple Ice leagues along the way. I want to make the jump to mainly Ice. I am looking for a lower level type league here in Southern California to try and work on my skills. (Mainly the skating and stopping, and tips are welcomed) If anyone knows of any good places to play or knows a team with an opening I'd really appreciate it. Thanks again guys. 5HoleMadman 6 Report post Posted July 9, 2008 Just might make myself look really bad against anyone with a little talent. I really need to work on my skating. My stopping could just about pass as quality stand up comedy.

deadmanjolt 1 Report post Posted July 9, 2008 If you're in teh Los Angeles area, Burbank's ice rink (Pickwick) has a drills/pickup on Wednesday nights, 10 pm-1 am or so. I would suggest trying out pickups before playing league games as a good group of pickup guys won't give you the hassle that some league guys are going to.
