RBK/CCM Stainless Runners

Recommended Posts

I noticed that there's a Proformance Lite scalloped runner and a Proformance scalloped runner on the RBK skates. Can anyone tell me the difference? Is it just different steel for reduced weight?

if both say Proformance and have the arched scallops, they're the same thing. CCM/RBK just updates the graphics on the runner every couple years.

Odd because the 7K and 5K skates for 2008 both show scallops but list one as "ProformanceLite" and one as "Proformance." Maybe they used the old steel on the 5Ks.

are you judging this comparison based on a picture alone?

It's a pictoral thing if he noticed one said "ProformanceLite" and one said "Proformance"......

I'm not aware of a scalloped runner that just said Proformance. They now say" Proformance lite 10'", last version was "Proformance lite" and before that "Advanced Proformance". The scallops in the Advanced Proformance were a little different shape. Other than that they are pretty much all the same, 15% lighter than the solids.

a little off topic but ... would someone that has used both the solid and scalloped lightspeed2 steel if it makes a big difference when skating ?

the Proform Lite 10 is the same runner as the previous Proform Lite. RBK has just been keen to add the "10" in reference to the blade's radius, so customers and newbie technicians know what they're dealing with.
