Get something like a vapor XX or a V08. IMO, those aren't exactly such great sticks. But out of the three you like, the s11 would probobly be the best.

Depends where your buying from, from the states I'd get a previous years top of the line stick but if your buying in Scotland I'd say balance on mid/low-end sticks is always where I base my PP when it comes to choosing them. If Scotland is anywhere like the rest of this island then I'd hazard a guess that previous top of the line models take a LONG time to come down. Eg. Sherwood Eclipses, Nike Apollos and Busches are still well over £200.

Try to find an older top-model ('ST, regular Synergy, '05 stealth, etc.) or a prostock (SE, another CNT, etc.)

your getting great performance for considerably less (than the new top of the line sticks) with the older models

and prostocks generally run for alot less than the retail of the same stick.

I definitely agree. Pro-stock is the way to go if you want to look for a higher end back up. But out of the 3 you mentioned, the S11 is the best stick for the money.

CNT's are on/have been closeout as well, not sure if you're looking for two of the same stick, but an option. At my LHS, the ST's can be found for very cheap as well, about 50% off.

close out st imo.I bought one 2 years back and its my backup now. It cost a bit then but if you can get it cheap now.....amazing backup. If my dolomite goes in a game, I know the ST will in the least last through it. That thing is the definition of tank, it's seriously a class of its own in durability, and to me that is what I base a backup stick on.

if you follow this path, good luck trying to find an 05 stealth or the old green st

My suggestions would be to either get a stick on closeout ( as previously mentioned) or to get another good stick and bring it to games as a backup and when your stick breaks just start using it as your number 1 stick, that way you wouldn't have to play half a game or so with a low end stick such as the 350 etc. Hope this helps.

Buy the same stick as your primary stick...

Right but if you can't afford it or they're not making anymore. Just make sure you have some kind of back up. Even a good woodie will suffice in a pinch.

I don't think you can go wrong with the ST. I've never owned one, but I've done a lot of reading about and talking about them and every single person who has used them really gives them high marks. If I ever went to OPS, I'd really consider the ST (I like my equipment to be really durable).

I had one. The shooting was 8/10, puck feel maybe 7.5/10. Good durability but it (the old one) lacks in features by today's standards. The new ST apparently has a blade that doesn't hold up well. They're worth around $80-90.
