Nike Bauer One55 Tongue

Those of us who wear their skates "Jordan" style or tongue-out if you will can appreciate a tongue that folds over well, but still offers support. I never really paid much attention to models lower then the top two in any given brand, however I was recently at an LHS and the Nike Bauer One55 caught my eye. It was mainly its tongue. I tried the skate on and it on and it actually had pretty good support and still had the LS2 holder and a stainless steel runner. Seems like a great skate for $220. In any event, what really impressed me was the tongue. I really wish Nike Bauer would offer this tongue for sale separately because its pretty sweet. Although I wish it was white, beggars cant be choosers lol. I dont have a picture, but I may take one and post it soon. Check the One55's out and tell me what you think about those tongues.

They do - your LHS can order it from the pro department.

The molded tongue is more anatomical, and is why it is on the ONE95.

Yeah I know that in both cases, however I already have the one95s, and basically It would be an after the fact install. I contacted Bauer and EastWest hockey and they both said Bauer wasnt offering any of their tongues besides the 1000 tongue for sale separately. What do you suggest?

I like how I can roll my One55 tongues onto the toe cap of the boot. I do that anyways after games and stick/puck sessions to make my feet slide into the skate well.

I must say that the One55 looks like a really nice skate! Pricy and great looking!

BUT

How is the lining of the boot though? Quick dry synthetic leather... something new or?

It is a suedish type liner..Works for me..its like Clarino..works better than mesh or leather for sure...Very comfortable skate if I may say so...It is a lot of skate for $200
