Abbieshockey20 1 Report post Posted July 18, 2008 Sorry to make one of these topics, but I'm in the market for new pants and my LHS has a very weak selection of pants. At the moment I'm wearing size small rbk 6k's, I love the girdle like fit and mobility, they're also very comfortable. The only thing I don't like about these pants is the lack of protection in the upper thigh area, right above where the pad wraps around the thigh. The overall fit of the pants is excellent except they are now too short which is why I need new pants. I'm looking into the rbk 7k pants, one90 girdle and synergy girdle at the moment but I'm also open to suggestions. For those that have or tried on the rbk 7k pants is the protection better than the 6k's? Also, is the fit similar? I would rather stick with a size small pant because I prefer low profile, tighter fitting pants but I also want to make sure my new pants won't be too short. If anyone has any comments or suggestions on pants, please post. Thanks in advance.
duch 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2008 The protection is a little better with the 7K because it's a higher end pant but not a great deal. The 8K is the big step up in the Reebok line with the adjustable thigh and hip padding. Reebok makes a decent hockey pant and are worth serious consideration. Abbieshockey20 1 Report post Posted July 21, 2008 So, the 8k is a big step up from the 6k's?
Cavs019 710 Report post Posted July 21, 2008 RBK no longer makes the 8K.
Abbieshockey20 1 Report post Posted July 22, 2008 I found an online store with my size, but I'm still not set on buying the 8k's.
Cavs019 710 Report post Posted July 22, 2008 I know they're still around, but I was mentioning that in the sense that its not part of the current line and you cant assume that since 8 > 7, the 8 is a better pant. I'd take the new 7K over the 8K any day of the week.
Fivehole101 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2008 I am wearing the vector V06 right now and I love them. They have great mobility, protection and are light wieght. I can only imagine that the V08 are more protective if that is what you are after.

I have heard many people rave about their 8k pants which is why I assumed they may be better than the 7k's. But, I haven't heard much on the 7k's, it seems not too many people have the 7k's, therefore not many opinions or reviews are available on them. I'm definitely considering both of these pairs of pants.
aliebe 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2008 Can anyone clarify the sizing on the 7K for us plus size models? One site says the XL is for 39" waist or larger, another one says the XL is for 36-38...
Warriorsdman 1 Report post Posted July 26, 2008 My V06 pants are a large and they say waist size 34-38, so since it's still THC I'd say that the XL would be the 39+
