Optional kick Point on U+?

Recommended Posts

On The monkey there were four options for a Sr. U+ stick. Grip, Grip mid, Clear, and Clear mid. What is the signifcance of the mid? The only thing i could figure was it was a mid or regular (which would be low) kickpoint. I tryed searching, but putting a + sign in the search bar voided the search. If there is already a topic started my bad.

the AK has a low kickpoint engineered into it, despite being a standard shaft

Different kicks make for different sticks. The kickpoint affects feel as well as performance.

Yeah, but he doesn't know that... But you mean that a kickpoint change would effect how the stick "feels" golly gee. ;)

its just like golf shafts, that make a mid kick and a low kick, but just becasue they look like eachother doesnt mean they are going to feel like the same product with a different kick point. thats why they dont offer mid and low kick sticks in the same model because it would change the model. thats atleast my understanding on the situation

It woulndnt change the model...the company decides whats going to be in said model. Just as those new dolos with spyne tech are still dolos, not kroniks, a U+ with a high or low kick point is still a U+. But we've already settled this dispute (that being the signifcance of the word "mid")... so no need to drag this thread on.
