Graf G5 value?

Recommended Posts

I have a pair of size 8 Graf narrows that are in mint condition. They are pro returns I wore once and did not like them and would love to get into a pair of one 70s or even 90s. Is it usually better to sell them locally or go into a LHS and just do a trade in. Ill probably head into my LHS and see what they are worth.

Your best bet is Ebay... Local hockey shops wont give you much if anything for them and local sales minimizes your chances of selling them.

ebay is ok but you rarely get close to what you're hoping for. also, put them up on craigslist and be patient. now is a good time since the start of the season isn't too far away.....sigh, if only i were more patient with my grafs...

The problem with craigslist is that your skates will get lost in the list within a day or two. As for not getting what you want for your skates. I say to make a reasonable start price the hope for the best. I've never been disappointed with items I've sold on Ebay.

^^^ Thank you sir. I cringe when I see adds that look like they took the picture from about 100 feet away, with one sentence that doesn't even mention condition.(these are probably the same people bitching about not getting what their item is worth) It doesn't take much effort- crop your pictures, use a plain white backdrop, show as many angles as you can in as many pictures as you can. (be sure to take off the skate guards).

PM me if you want any help.

actually, i did do well with ebay when i sold my 703's there. mind you, i do give good descriptions and try to take pictures of the important details. I guess i was looking at the overall picture with regards to the sale of used sticks and other hockey equipment.

patience is a virtue when it comes to sale of used goods i suppose...if i had waited longer, i could have netted more cash back on craigslist for my ultra g5's had i only waited another week :*(

You could always try making a flier to up on a bulletin board in your rink/LHS (if they will let you). I've done this in my local rink with some of my sticks...seems to get some attraction from the men's leagues.
