Correcting the balance of a cut OPS

Recommended Posts

Searched turn up lots of stuff on cutting OPS's but I didn't see anything on how to get rid of the blade heavy feel you get after you cut it. I was thinking of using a modified wood plug. Anyone have any tricks they use to fix this?

Also, tapered balde question. I have a Innovative tapered blade an Easton Synergy II shaft. I didn't think much of using the two together until I saw how short the hosel is on Synergy II blades are. Will that mess with the kick point, or am I letting my eyes play tricks on me?

The tapered blades will always have a short hosel like that. The short hosel coupled with the taper on the shaft are designed to create a very low kick point. Better for accuracy and velocity.

Add a plug and cut it flush with the top of the shaft to add weight without adding length. Using a little more tape on the knob will also help mive the balance up the shaft a bit.
