Recommended Posts

My old Jofa 9800 is don so i got to get new pants but i am not surre about the size. The Jofa was senior M 30-33" and thats the size icewarehouse stats on their site on RBK pants but RBK stats on their site that senior M is 32-34" and large 34-36... What is the right sizing on RBK pants?

I'm 5-11 and have a 32-34" waist. I went with a Lg 8k pant when it first came out and I had plenty of room without it being too big. Last year I got the 9k in Lg again and the fit is perfect. The 9k's are snug in the hips and waist (they don't float and therefore the padding is in the correct place when I go flying uncontrolably into the boards and then drop like a stone to the ice) and the adjustable thigh pads float like a regular pant (I don't even notice they are there).

Yes the 9K is a girdle like the Jofa 9800. Does the 9K only have the straps to hold the padding on the legs? Thats what is screwed on my Jofa...

Yes, there is a single velcro strap on each thigh pad to attach it to the Upper part. So far the core part of my 9k's are holding up very well. I have already had my shell restsitched and reinforced in several areas. The 9k shells do not hold up well and you cannot buy just the shell to replace it. You would have to buy an aftermarket shell. Despite this, I am very happy with my 9k pants and would definitely get them again if I had to do it all over.

Oh you cant buy the shells lose in the US. It is on sale in europe on its own.

Well i´ve will not buy the 9K then. I want a pair of pants to last longer then 2 years... I think the 7K will fit the bill and dont cost as much. Just have to get the sizing right...

You wont notice them - of the half-dozen hockey pants I have used over the past 10 years, these are the most comfortable and natural - I pretty much never notice I am wearing them. Great pants.

I wear a 32" pant, and the M 9k pants fit me perfectly. 5'10 155. I also agree w/ them being, by far, the most comfortable / maneuverable pant I've ever worn.

A lot of people complaing that the 9k's are heavy and I'll admit they do feel a little heavier in the LHS but once you are on the ice you really notice the comfort and freedom and not the attitional few grams of weight. I would definitely recommend the 9k's to anyone. The issue with the shells is minor since replacement shells can be had for minimal cost.
