Vapor XXX Lite Stick

Recommended Posts

No luck with the search... What's going on with the XXX Lite? I've heard they're stopping production but Nike Bauer still has a whole section of their site dedicated to it and many places are still selling them for full price. Any know what's up? Will there be a replacement? If not what is the closest stick to it? I've heard the XXXX doesn't offer as good of feel and release. Thanks guys!

Not 100% sure, but I'm sure that they're not being produced anymore (again, what I heard, may not be 100%, please don't shoot the messenger). I love the XXX Lite because of it's flex and feel, but that was the last OPS I bought because it was getting so damn expensive to replace.

We have them at Sport Chek for less than $200, but only select stores. If you live in Canada, then you're in luck.

I had mine and loved them. Then I broke both of them in one night. That hurt on the inside.

Haven't really seen a lot of places that have them locally. Might have to look on line soon.

I'm looking for a XXX Lite too.. I haven't seen them anywhere around here in a while.. I have one that's not in the best shape and I'd like to get a new one before it breaks

There are a bunch of pro-stocks available at "the-sports-exchange" in Vancouver. Mostly pro stocks but they do have some retail patterns available in LH and RH last time I was there. I think they will ship as well. They sell for 135$ in store.

I was there last weekend. The XXX-lites are in the back where the other RBK Sickicks are.

They just got a bunch of Easton pro-stocks too. A bunch of CNT Stealths Grip and Non Grip as well as SE's, SL's, and ST's all for 150$.

Can you access the back or do you have to ask somebody?

usually the stuff in the back is just extra stock of what they have in the floor

rarely do they have something else back there

Its in the back of the store close to where the gloves are displayed not in the back stock room. Sorry for the confusion there.

I think one of the LHS still has some pro stocks up here. Hossa, Woolley and I want to say Draper. They still had Heatley XXs and V110s as well, all for the low, low price of ~$150 last time I saw them.

I saw the Vapor XXX-lites for $189 on sale at the Sport Chek in the Eaton Centre.

There is a family and friend's sale where the person at the front entrance gives you a coupon for an additional 10 percent off on sale items. Or 25 percent off regular priced items.

so I guess the price will be about $170 plus tax. Sale ends Thursday Oct. 9.

I was just wondering, does anyone know the difference between the older 2005 version of the vapor XXX lite compared to a newer 2007 model of the XXX?

Some people have had durability problems with the newer models, I personally haven't had any and don't know anyone who has, but I've heard the 05' model is notorious for breakage. Supposed to be much worse then the newer models... Atleast that's what I was told. Other than that, the graphics are a little different and some of the technology may vary. Try to find a 05' and 07' NBH product catalog online, then you can compare. If you're thinking about the 05' model for $90, unless someone here has some good info against it, I would buy it.
