R.I.P. Richard Wright 1943-2008

Recommended Posts

Story

As the title says Richard Wright of Pink Floyd died. I don't know how many of you are Floyd fans, but this a great loss. Me, being a huge PF fan was praying for a reunion tour, as there was rumors of a possible one in 2009. Wright's death pretty much diminished any hope of that happening. Not only was he a great musician, but also was a great guy. R.I.P.

Was there that much hope for a reunion to begin with? I didn't think so. Besides, Gilmour and Waters are the only guys I'd go to see anyway, they could find session guys and make it happen if they wanted to badly enough.

R.I.P Rich.

Personally, I think that with the passing of Mr Wright, Pink Floyd will not only be known as legends in their time but for leaving the music scene while being in their prime, they will be known for the band who could have done more shows, more cd's, but they wanted to leave the band as is, a true legacy. I guess he's gone to listen to his great gig in the sky...
