You can tell that it is perf steel because of the perfs (perforations)

They are there to add lightness ;)

I have stainless steal replaceable blades and they are heavy! A few holes will reduse the weight!

Have a friend put perfed steel on one skate and regular on the other. See if you can tell wich one is perfed without looking- just walk around the house.

after my perfed steel on my XXs broke, I put solid steel on it, I couldnt tell a difference in wieght on the ice.
