The manuf. or retailer should also have a sizing chart available to help you with a starting point.

Something like:

14" (5'6" to 5'9" 150-175lbs)

After you have the starting point, you can tinker based on personal preference, as CapsFan said..

I use 14 inch , but they are pretty small, but i can't deal with the bullkyness of 15",

any shins that arn't that bulky ?

one90 or supreme line are fit shin's and not bulky like rbk's try those.
