sweetblazer 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 I imagine that a lot of people don't know what this is, but for those of you that do were you there? It was pretty crazy, I was definatly much bigger then I thought. For those of you that don't know this is regarded as the biggest street party in Canada and just a weekend of College partying. It was pretty crazy, I was definatly much bigger then I thought. For those of you that don't know this is regarded as the biggest street party in Canada and just a weekend of College partying...And that precisely why it was almost shut down a few years ago. There was so much damage after what was essentially a booze, fueled riot that Kingston almost banned the festivities. It was redicilous; Queens; St. Lawrence, and RMC were all out in full force... Kinston has actually gone downhill in the recent years. Street riots, bar brawls, QB's murdered, etc. I love the city though.

Fueled by booze, and having no investment whatsoever in town-gown relations, they see no reason not to go nuts, and simply leave, hangover in tow, on Sunday afternoon, while everyone left behind deals with the mopping up. Happened in my day too, and that was a looong time ago.
