Can't decide between Synergy SE-16 and Stealth S17

Recommended Posts

The Easton 70 flex has senior dimensions and is somewhat boxy; I have one. The Warrior 70 flex is intermediate and very slim. All good sticks to try out though.

Do all lower flex eastons have senior dimensions? Or is it a case of they just don't offer anything under 85 flex for their senior sticks?

Easton has a 50 flex junior and 65 flex intermediate. Most of their one piece sticks start out at 85 flex, but they do offer the Synergy Elite (tapered shaft) in 70 flex. It has the same dimensions as the senior sticks.

They used to have intermediate shafts and blades, but because you couldn't use the shafts or blades with any other brand (nobody made those sizes), I think they decided to just make a lower flex version of their senior shaft which fits standard tapered blades.

Anyways, I've got one of those 70 flex sticks. It's a bit boxy for my preferences (I have smaller hands, 13" gloves), but it's a very good shaft. Definitely going to be whippier than the 85 flex, which is nice if you are cutting down the stick (I'm only 5'8"). Again, I prefer the Dolomite shaft because it's just hair stiffer and a bit thinner.

I know pattern DB says the zettermodanobergov pattern is 3/8", but I'm going to check the stickers when I go back to the shop. I would bet my left nut it's a half inch.

You're going to lose your left nut.

Not that big a loss. She has them both in a jar in the medicine cabinet anyway!
