quick help on extentions please and thank you

Recommended Posts

so i had this rbk sickick v1 and i added an extention cut down. I have grown over the summer and, the season has started once again and, when I stepped on that ice for the first time since 2 months ago the stick does feel a little short so now I think its time to pull out the extention. As i heated it up with a normal hair dryer and, heated it for 10 minutes then when I try my best to get it out its stuck! Is there any tools for this or should i just bring it to the pro shop?

You could just heat it over the stove, that's what i do but make sure not to heat it up too much or the shaft will break. Just get your dad or friend to hold the blade of the stick while you pull on it, it's easier than trying to pull it out yourself.

In my experiences, a hair dryer won't cut it. For $15 you can pick up a heat gun at home depot, it's well worth it.

It's kind of amazing that people will drop this much money on a stick, but won't spend the extra $20-$30 to buy a proper heat gun that will last for years, and work infinitely better.

Yeah, the stove technique works, but think about how pissed you'd be if you made a mistake and jacked up your shaft. It's worth it over the hair dryer because of the time and energy it saves you. Plus, you don't have to worry about dropping your mom's/sisters's/girlfriend's/boyfriend's hair dryer and breaking it.
