I think its blown out of proportion imo..

Because you're familiar with the causes and all of the background information? Or simply because you decided that you would make a judgment based on nothing more than the random speculation that everyone has read as well?

Based on the fact that sportswriters don't always give the whole story the way it was intended. It makes for juicy writing Malkin vs AO doesn't it? And by the friendly showing at the All Star Skills, I would say they look like friends otherwise Malkin wouldn't have joined in on the spectacle. IMO.

im not sure it's all as rosy as the media is making it out to be - i think what happened is that a lot of people (maybe kovalev, kovalchuk, markov and other russian officials) have put pressure on ovechkin to let go of whatever grudge he was holding. Since malkin seemed to be indifferent to the whole thing - maybe all it took was ovechkin approaching him and extending an olive branch. It seems like both of them are growing up a little and just letting it go - which is good to see. Hopefully that is the end of it - because nothing good can come of it otherwise.

DC101 here in DC were talking this morning about how ovey and malkin went out for dinner after the game and it ended in a shouting match, rekindling the feud.

The DJ (eliot in the morning) is a huge hockey fan, and was up for the all star game.

I haven't heard it from anywhere else but there, so I hope it's a wind up, but anything being reported in local Montreal press about it?

i hope thats not actually true - cause either ovechkin is going to end up hurting malkin one of these times, or else malkin is finally going to blow his lid and do something to ovechkin. Either way I think it would be a bad situation. I haven't heard anything though - so i guess we will find out the next time they play each other...
