Has anyone bought Graf pants lately?

Recommended Posts

I'm wearing Graf G500s right now. The bottom half of the pants looks like it could fall off at any time. Just about every seam on the pants has ripped. I bought them and the first pair ripped on my first shift, I sent those back and the second pair ripped on the first shift again. I just kept them since I liked them so much and figured Graf just had quality issues

So now I have a brand new pair of RBK 3ks with me now. They seem alright, light, a little more protection than I really need with all the plastic and such. I could get used to them

I'd like to know if anyone has bought Graf G500s lately thought and had any problems with the quality? I wondered if there was just a bad run of them when I bought them about a year ago. Is there a possibility I could get a nice pair if I sent back my RBK pants and got some new Grafs?

My team/organization orders them and some of my teammates use them (not me), but I have not seen any problems with them. It should be noted that many of the pants my organization uses are used, although this may not be the case with all of them.

Thanks for the replies. I don't think I really want to take another chance on them though. I really liked those 500s, they were perfect for the league I play in. Pretty much every seam has come apart on the bottom half of the pants, I've never seen anything like it before

I think I can get used to the RBKs.. I'll see after I play tomorrow. If not, they'll be put away like the Vapor XXVs I bought a few months ago

The Grafs are a lot like Tacklas in fit but I don't think they are as good a quality. I have both the Tackla 5000 and the Graf 700 but the Grafs seem much less protective however they are very flexable and light. As far as providing movement they are excellent but not anywhere near as protective as say Reeboks or Easton pants. I use my Grafs for mostly pickup but prefer my Tacklas for my mens league games. Don't get me wrong I've taken some shots off my thigh pads and haven't felt a thing but it you get rocked into the boards I find the hip padding not quite as effective as my Tacklas or a North American top end pant. Still they are pretty effective protection unless your playing more serious contact hockey and probably a better buy than a lot of other higher end pants in the same category.
