15yearsofhistory 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2008 I realized yesterday that my team has pretty much given up all hope. We're 11th out of 15 teams and just played the number three team yesterday. I'll admit, it was a hell of a game, but it seemed like nobody had any heart out there. Some kids were just half-assing it and not even trying to win the battles in the corners. Others were taking horrible shots because they didn't feel like setting up any plays. I just don't know what to do. It seemed like me and a few others were the only ones who wanted to win and make it happen.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted November 23, 2008 Do what you can to lead this season and find a new team next season if things don't work out. People have to be willing to follow you if you choose to try and lead, and there is nothing you can do if they don't want to follow.
Aussie Joe 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2008 People without heart are the worst. I'm sure if your coach is worth anything he's going to be A: Pissed off at the performance and B: trying his best to fix the situation. I had issues towards the end of last season with heart in trainings yet every time we went into a game guys would play with everything they had. I would always say "You guys are amazing in games, yet don't try in trainings, imagine how good you all would be if you put that much heart into training as well."
