RBK Flex Measurement

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how RBK measures the flex of their OPS? Is it measured at the full length of the shaft or at a different length? The reason I ask is because I'm thinking about picking up a 7K on closeout and I need to cut about 3-4" off the shaft. At full length the regular flex is too much flex for me, but since cutting will decrease flex I'm thinking regular is the way to go, but if they measure their flexes at, say, 56", like some companies, then I may just go with the stiff.

Thanks.

No, cutting the stick will increase the flex, not decrease it. As far as I know, they measure flex at the sticks full length. Might want to look for a RBK in the mid or light flex.
The flex rating will increase numerically if you cut the stick shorter as it will take more force to bend the stick. The flex of the stick will decrease.

Ohh whoops I read his post wrong. I thought he said the regular flex was too stiff. Disregard what I originally said.
