Info on Warrior's Method Pants

I've been reading around online about the warrior method pants. I've read a couple contradicting things, and my LHS doesn't carry anything warrior so I can't check for myself. I've been reading that they run short compared to other pants. This is not big deal to me as I like 'shorter' pants, as long as they touch the bottom of my thigh/top of my knee area when I'm standing I'm fine. Just wondering how 'short' they run. Now the first of my main concerns, protection is a big must for me. I don't hesitate to stand/slide infront of a shot with my v06 pants 'cuz I know I won't feel anything. Will the method's give me the same confidence in protection? Now with good protection I don't want to sacrifice mobility. I don't need pants that are gunna keep me safe but not allow me to move, but also don't need pants that will allow me to move freely but not have any protection. This is wear I've read the most contradicting stories. Some say they move great and have a alot of protection, others say the exact opposite. That's mainly what I want honest opinions on, anything else would be great to know too.

He may have grown out of them, got a lot of tears in them, wants to try something new, etc. The possibilities are endless.

There isn't much protection overall and the thigh pads are not hinged.

Yea they've gotten kinda beat up, after being used and abused so many times. So I need a new pair and want to try something different.

So as for what I'm looking for, these wouldn't fit the bill? It's between these and the RBK 7K.

The protection is roughly equal to most $50 pants. If you want that type of protection, buy the $50 pants and save yourself some money.
