Compact Jersey Trick

I'm probably not the first one to figure this out. I carry a bunch of extra jersey's so when we do pickup we can even out the teams. There's usually at least one or two that need to bum a jersey, or a kid on one of the teams that I coach that forgot his jersey. So i have a bunch of jerseys that I can't ever tell if are clean or dirty and take up much more space than needed. I folded them up as small as i could and put them in quart sized ziploc bags. The lighter mesh jerseys were definitely easier than some of the heaver ones but I managed to get them all to fit. Plus this way they stay clean and dry and very compact.

You should use one of those vacuum bags that I always see on late-night infomercials.

or you can just bring 2 jerseys for yourself, and let other people worry about bringing their own gear. ;)

try stuffing some in a coffee can or tennis ball can.

I find that rolling up your jerseys neatly takes up less space than folding. Instead of making that final fold, just roll the shirt up. It won't be all wrinkly when you take it out either.
